Did you notice the most common thing between the brands like Arby’s, McDonald’s, Burger King etc. these logo uses the color red heavily. The answer is rooted back to years and years ago. And of course, they are fast food chains as well. Nope, not a coincidence. Color is one of the major tools creative agencies Singapore use in order to connect with their customers.
An average human can see endless colors, but red is really special. Before alphabets and numbers came into being, their language had no color but there were words for black, white and red. And blue showed up later in 200 AD. And this is why we are deeply connected to red and react to it. Red invokes a sense of urgency and it also influences our appetites as well. Hence when you integrate the two, it gives you an urgency to have some fast food.
So red logo isn’t inviting but seducing your brain modestly. When it comes to the word red, it derived from their word called blood. Blood in Hebrew was pronounced dahm. In the medieval times, red was a symbol of royalty and brides wear the color in their wedding dresses. We are all visual beings, despite the 5 senses, major part of the information our brain processes comes from our eyes.
